The scuderia is all about performance, which means it will probably be surpassed very soon. Whereas the 599 is all about class and luxury, and is still blisteringly quick. The fact that you brought up a car like the 599 means that you're probably interested in luxury,which the 599 has. It will eventually become a classic.
What should I pay for the trade? I figure my car is worth 155-160 retail, hi 130s wholesale.
For comparable miles (around 1000 miles) and options (shields, carbonceramic brakes...) you should be able to get an 09 for around $285K, $270K for an 08, and $250K for an 07.
I just sold my Scud a few weeks ago and am also currently looking for a 599 08 and up.
Back on topic: ...Then again, if you're like me and you can nut 3-5 times per day, you can rub one out in the gym bathroom, leave your mess on the floor, not wash your hands, come out and set your three rep bench max and leave a little drop of goo on the bar for the next guy to think "WTF is that?"

My guess is that someone interested in the luxuries of the 599 is NOT also interested in the hardcore-ness of the Scud.
I didn't think about that, I guess I was just going with the car I would want. Green, a 599 would probably be a great choice for you considering it trumps nearly all others in the category. It was EVO's ECOTY in 2007, and I trust their recommendations (except for ECOTY '09 ).
Does your 430 have a Challenge rear grill?
If so, I'd spend a little coin on some lowering springs (GMG?), wheels, exhaust, and air filters. It's a great spec, comfortable enough, sporty, etc. And in the end, it's $100K cheaper than a 599. 599 is an AWESOME car, but IMO not worth $100K+ more than your stellar-looking 430. Spice up the 430 and it will feel like new again. And you're still saving some for maintenance.
