Actually there should be a 996 in there not the 997.2

I'm quoting the images onto this page just because why not. And yeah, no 996 is strange. I think Porsche is trying to ignore a step in there evolution of the 911.

You guys are right...I think 996 was probably the worst of the lot. Porsche probably thought so too hence the "oversight."

Porsche is avoiding the inevitable comparisons and comments that the 991 looks very similar to the 997.2. I also believe there just isn't enough space in that room, so the 996 didn't make the cut.

That Ruby does look nice. I've said it before: I think the 991 works much better with the bright/loud colors...
