997 TT Cab Tourist Delivery !!
Posting this great experience on behalf of member (Brnsrgn)
"Just returned from a great trip to "pick up" our new turbo. For those not familiar with this, you really don't pick up your car, you borrow it for a pewriod of time before it gets shipped back to the US (now I get to wait 6-10 weeks for the car we had a blast with).
Here's a brief summary and a few pics (if my posting works).
We arrived in Stuttgart last Sunday, stayed at the Schlossgarten Hotel
here's the schloss
It was Sunday so we went off to the MB museum. Fantastic museum. Not just a great history of MB cars, but also German industry as well. Far too many amazing cars to show. Here's a sample.
The next day it was off to Porsche. We were shown our car,
We started with a drive with the top down through the black forest. Just beautiful. Stopped at Baden-Baden, and stayed at the absolutely fantastic Brenner Park Hotel. View from our window.
Next morning we headed off to the Schlumpf collection museum in Mulhouse France. Great story, and fantastic museum with the largest collection of Bugattis.
From Mulhouse, after a nice french lunch we headed off to Lake Constance to the town of Lindau.

We spent the morning in Lindau, and then headed off into the alps. Again still we had perfect top down weather.
We had lunch on a roof top restaurant, overlooking the mountains.

The next day we toured Castle Neurschwanstein, here's a view from the castle (only day we had with rain)
visited Dachau, and then headed to Nurmberg, a very historic and fascinating city.
Here you can see the wall that surrounds most of the city.
here's were we had lunch the next day, the oldest brat house in the world.
Also has some spectacular views and architecture.
Stayed at the Meridian, was also very nice.
We spent two nights in Nurmberg, and also visited the Dokumentation Museum. Tells the history of Hitler came to power, and is situated on the old Nazi Rally grounds.
