RENNTECH and Domani have something pretty special for all of you TSers. Both companies are proud to present this gorgeous SL65 Black Series equipped with RENNTECHs Performance Package 1.

GK@Domani came to us a couple of weeks ago looking to collaborate with us and create this monster of an SL Black Series. Any sane person would be satisfied with the 650+ horsepower of a stock SL65 Black.. not Domani and RENNTECH. The masterminds at RENNTECH were able to squeeze out 805HP and 1000LB-FT of torque at the crank. Furthermore, the application of our new stainless steel sport exhaust creates a deep, distinctive growl that is suitably aggressive for this high-end sportscar.

RENNTECH also outfitted the vehicle with a Transmission upgrade and 100% Locking Rear Differential. These modifications are essential when trying to transfer ridiculous amounts of power. It's amazing how the upgraded differential completely transformed the cars driving dynamics. The driver can now feel in command of the vehicle when pushing the Bi-turbo V12 to its limits.

In the end, this project was truly a great experience with the team over at Domani Motors. Now enough chit chat lets get to the good stuff, check out the pics and video..

Great working with Dan, George, and Korey over at Renntech. These guys are true professionals and the packages they produce for MBs are amazing!

I drove this car after completion, and I cannot even begin to express what 1000 lbs-ft of torque feels like. An effortless surge from 30 to 150mph, until I backed off. Once the turbos spool, tunnel-vision ensues.

MBs 5-Speed automatic does a very good job, but with Renntech's transmission upgrade the car performs like a proper sports car... holding gears, downshifting/upshifting very quickly, etc. With this much torque, any more ratios would be superfluous. Combined with the 100% Locking LSD, the drivetrain is much sportier than stock. Although this is a heavier car, the increased front/rear tracks and massive tires make the car very, very nimble. The brakes are very effective too.

Renntech's exhaust system really wakes the car up popping and burbling on overrun. Intoxicating!

Amazingly, when you are not on it, the car becomes a hushed luxury GT. As soon as you hammer the throttle, you are reminded what 12 cylinders, two turbos, and a huge intercooler can do.

The new owner of this car is going to be overjoyed!

I am almost positive production is over... not sure of the worldwide production numbers, but only 175 came to the US.
