Spied: 2013 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series Winter Testing

Braving the cold, our Teamspeed spies bring us today the latest photos of the 2013 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series during cold-weather testing. It's been a little while since the SLS Black-Series has been seen but as our other reports have shown the prototype wears wider body kit with a modified front fascia, revised side skirts and extended fenders.

This prototype is sporting massive high-performance brakes and larger rear wheels which hint at some changes to the rear axle. Under the hood, rumors suggest the 6.3-litre V8 engine could deliver 600 hp and 677 Nm of torque. This will likely enable the car the new SLS variant to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 322 km/h.

We can expect a launch later this year badged as a 2013 Model and pricing is rumored to start at €260,000. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

I think the SLS regular model is good enough. You can imporve it through Kw coilover suspension and get weistec s/c thru kleemann getting it 800hp easily.

For a real track car, a 400,000 euro SLS AMG GT3 is a killer car. I got to drive it and I am hooked, in a couple of years i'd love to get my Racing license and get one.

Please Mercedes-Benz, just take my money already!! On a more serious note, I really hope this model handles on the track alot better; the original SLS is like a wild dog.

Honestly this car has such a difficult time putting power to the street - drove one yesterday and yes it was only 7 degrees Celsius but its just a wild beast!

This car will be fantastic as long as they don't make the suspension too stiff for the street.

The SLS is one of the best cars on the streets right now! I have enjoyed all my time in them last year!
