Completely the wrong idea for such a marque in my view. If they were going to create a new car, then they should be targeting the price between what ever will replace the Gallardo with say a top of the range Porsche Turbo "s".
With the Gallardo now costing circa £190k well spec'ed(in uk) and with the new model sure to be say 15% to 20% more, then that leave more than enough room for say a car starting at around £125k to say £160k with decent sporting abilities ove between the current gallardo and say an audi r8 v10.
Creating a suv, is just downgrading the brand.

Predictable. Every manufacturer has sold out for the sake of surviving in today's marketplace. SUV's/family haulers are the moneymakers. There are more soccer mom's needing to keep up with the Jones's than men with a midlife crisis looking to spend more than a quarter of million $ for a car that will get driven twice a month.
Just look at the Cayenne. And Ferrari made a station-wagon for fvck sake.
If they don't price themselves out, they're gonna make a killing with this.

Lambo introduced the LM002 in the 80s, creating another SUV does not go against past sales attempts. The SUV market was obviously not as strong 25 years ago but that's a different story today. Personally I would not mind hopping out of a 700 HP Lambo truck, but that's just me.
