YouTube - BMW M1 / 1M testing on the Nurburgring (2+ min. track footage)

* Body work, and wide fenders look great.
* Fantastic exhaust note - similar to the OEM 135i BMW Performance Exhaust system.
* Larger front air ducts for additional cooling.
* Cooling fins for the ///M rear differential, and M3 forged rear camber arms.
* MDCT and manual trans will be offered.
* Estimated to weigh close to 1500 kg, and around 345hp.

Looks to be very composed around the corners. I'm getting real excited about this car - ready to put down my deposit!

EuroToy is an unknown quantity at this point
Quad exhaust in the future, if it becomes actually becomes an M series car it will need the quad exhaust, these pics kind of lead me to believe this car may end up the 135is.

I'd take this over a Cayman S, TT-RS, etc. This is gonna be rad.

Arrow Update: Quad Exhaust Development Photos

No quad exahaust in this vid just nice Ring action - DJ posted earlier.

Production car will have quads. Word on the grape vine is Akrapovic developing an exhaust for the 135i.

The highly discussed and rumored, BMW 1M makes another appearance at the Nurburgring track in Germany. Moving away from the fake widebody kit seen on the previous test mules, the new prototypes feature the now famous psychedelic BMW camouflage, a trademark on their test mules in the past few years.

The front-fascia features a bumper larger and more massive than any M-Package we have seen so far, allowing air to flow for the High Performance Intercooler.

Two air intakes on the front wings gives the typical M-look, with the bar that incorporates the side indicator light placed now on top instead of striking through.

The new 1,500 kg M model is powered by an updated/upgraded N55 engine coming from the M Division producing 345 horsepower. The reason behind the M1 project is not to completely focus on power, but rather build a car more entertaining and thrilling to drive than any BMW ever built before.

The engine is matted to an M-DCT transmission, but a manual option will be offered as well. As any other sporty car, the BMW M1 / 1M will offer the much-craved LSD (limited slip differentials).

BMW will send off the current design of the 1 Series Coupe with the M version that will run in a very short production cycle.

Spied: BMW 1M shows up again at Nurburgring
