Post Official Release: Vorsteiner GTS-V Series Based on BMW M3

Vorsteiner GTS-V Track Line for BMW E92/93 M3
Functionality at its Core.

GTS-V Series is the cross roads where purist targeted function(s) is complimented with the upper echelon of aesthetics.

Our designers and engineers are proud to release the ultimate line up focused on the BMW M3 coupe and cabriolets. The main objective of the GTS-V series development has been about pure performance and track functionality. We can confidently say we have over exceeded those tentative objectives by creating fully functional additions that continue to compliment the lines of the original subject.

The All-New Vorsteiner GTS-V components consist of a newly designed front add-on spoiler with integrated brake cooling inlet ducts as well as newly refined rear diffuser element made of our latest carbon fiber pre-preg autoclave.

On the front end, an evolutionary resemblance can be drawn from the original Vorsteiner VRS front spoiler which was introduced in 2009; when the M3 was first available to the general public. The newly designed GTS-V front spoiler takes subtle design cues from the original VRS front spoiler and further enhances it with an extended lip profile which houses a functional built in front brake cooling ducts that makes a powerful statement below the intake belt line of the front bumper.

Thanks to a collaboration with veteran performance brake engineers that were specially brought into for the GTS-V development, the front brake inlets focus was pure form over function and was not intended as a mere design or fashion statement. This was all business. All factors were considered during the development phase including duct opening size, shape, angles and radiusing and how much cool air we could feed into the connecting plenum pipe where a carefully selected 3 inch heat resistant flex tube is used to direct this air with minimal travel and distractions to the back of the front rotors. To also save weight while doing all of this our engineers decided to replace the factory plastic underbelly panel with a new pre-preg carbon kevlar unit that was made as a single piece construction with the front spoiler to further aid airflow to the brakes.

At the rear end of the GTS-V sits the powerful and newly redesigned rear add-on diffuser that also takes evolutionary design cues from the popular and sought after VRS rear diffuser Type I. This newly redesigned rear piece completely updates and freshens the look of this sports coupe with its subtle and very purposeful shape and styling cues.

The features of the GTS-V rear diffuser starts at the top where we have integrated a dual splitter element that balances the proportions of the rear bumper and immediately identifying itself as the latest generation of Vorsteiner products. To further improve upon the functionality and balance out the additional down force created from the front of the GTS-V spoiler the central diffuser fins were further extended downwards and reshaped.

Sales of the GTS-V aerodynamic components will begin in November 2011 through an authorized Vorsteiner dealer center near you.

Honestly, not a huge fan of all the mods

I like it, just don't really love it, but everyone is saying it looks awesome in person, so I will not judge.
