I can't believe that actor (who was only 20 at the time) painted his California army green with white graphics! What an amazing little film though.

Yes he is a friend of mine. He is one of those young guys driving the cars, and had his GTO at the age of 19 (as well as a couple of other cool cars). 
Oh and that paint washed off the California Spider a week later... only to be painted again in fly yellow.
