Spied Again: Audi R8GT Lightweight (Track Edition)

Our Teamspeed spy photographers spotted again the modified R8 GT test mule running around the ring which we believe is a good candidate for an R8 GT Track Edition as we have reported last week. The prototype spotted here has some wires coming out of the grille which are connected to a much larger front splitter than on the standard R8 GT. The rear spoiler also looks taller and larger too, and there are some clips sticking out of the wheel arches possibility designed to hold wing extensions. We await more news but these pictures yet look promising.

so the GT isn't so limited after all with this version and 333 spyders coming as well.

the mandatory r-tronic ruins this car for me.

I'd be so pissed if i had just ordered an R8-GT

I seriously don't get the point of having 2 special editions. They should just have got it right the first time!
