Street tire that can be used for auto-x

Anyone have experience with the Kumho Ecsta XS or the Bridgestone Potenza RE11 or the Yokohama Neova AD08? I've narrowed my search to these three tires with the Kumhos being the cheapest by far.

Edit - this is for my Mk4 R32

If it is for the MK4 R32, I would recommend RE11.
The stiffer side wall(than XS) and thread pattern works pretty good with front-end heavy cars like R32.

Check out the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec or Falken Azenis. The Falkens are fantastic tires, we use them on our LeMons car. Incredibly durable and fantastic grip, although they're pretty terrible in the rain. Probably 90% of the LeMons pits run these. The Direzzas I would imagine are far better in the wet and supposedly have similar or better grip and treadwear.

Thanks for the input guys. I've heard good things about the Star Spec as well. Forgot to mention those in my original post. Seems like I really can't go wrong.

I believe the R888 need to be treated more like a track tire (read: must be brought up to temperature). I need something with good grip with minimal warm up time and decent treadwear.

I have R888s on my Panoz, and you're exactly right. They need a solid couple of laps to really get sticky. They're not *horrible* when cold, but they need to be warm to get what you paid for.

I think your best bet would be to get Michelin PS2's.

While the AD08 gives you the best grip with its softer compound, it is the most expensive among three options,
RE11 is little bit harder than the AD08's however gives equal or little less grip than the AD08.
XS is the cheapest, and has little lesser grip than either AD08 or RE11.

out of the three, i would get AD08.

Thanks! I ended up ordering a set of the XS. I figure, start cheap and if it meets my needs, all the better. No use in drinking Chateu Mouton Rothschild if I cant tell the difference from Two Buck Chuck (which I can).
