Quick question, where is that white 993 GT1 located?
I thought Porsche had the only pure white roadcar, and the other was the one in the US with the Champion decals on it?
That is the other car, which previously had the clown suit champion decals on it. Car was at Rick Demans, got a full restore, engine, cosmetics, decals gone. looks so much better. I believe they got BBS to build the original wheels which were 3 pieces vs. the 996 1 piecers which the later are seen on the car. very cool. i have been lucky enough to see it a few times.
i got more GT1 docs and pdfs and older articles if you guys want to see more?
want more?
here is the basic understanding i have of the cars
they made 2 993 GT1 "road cars' to prove to management it could be done. silver at the museum and that white.
then they built 2 race cars that kicked butt at leman.
then another22 or so 993 GT1 race cars
then 24 996 GT1 roadcars and race cars.
then those 996 GT1 Evolution cars (the one photo'd below with lambo-style doors, etc"
