Peel Out!: All the Shades of Orange Offered by Porsche

In honor of Dave (Coochas) ordering an Orange 997 Turbo, I have decided to post up all the shades of Orange that Porsche has painted on its cars over the years. There's not a lot of them (10 in total from what I've been able to find). And frankly, they all kinda look alike, except for Signal Orange.

This will be the last in the U-Boat series of color threads. I haven't done the whites, blacks, silvers or greys. But at the end of the day, the variations in those colors are not suficient to make a color thread that interesting. Someone could probably twist my arm though to do the greys. . .

That pic of gulf orange is just bizarre. It looks nothing like that pic, it's actually kind of pastel and milky. Here's another pic of gulf orange, they look like two totally different colors. Must be the lighting

BTW, for comparison's sake, here's Signal Yellow vs. Signal Orange. Yes, they are very close.

Yep. My bad. I thought for some reason that gulf was much more pastel. Gulf has an uncanny resemblance to blood.

BTW, Blood Orange was 1969-1972, Continental Orange was 1975-1976 and Signal Orange was 1968-1974. Porsche also made Gulf Orange in 1972-1973 but I haven't been able to find an example.

Actually, guys, I don't think that 993 was Gulf Orange. There was a Pearl Orange in 1995-1996 and that must have been it. I'm going to fix the thread.

Supposedly, this 930 is a special order Orange Pearl Metallic.
